      Vacating a Unit: Syncing the PMS with the Nokē Smart Entry System

      Learn the correct steps to move out a tenant and ensure the Nokē Smart Entry system is updated seamlessly.

      Vacating a Unit

      The Nokē Smart Entry (NSE) system mirrors tenant information from your Property Management Software (PMS). Changes, such as vacating a unit, should always be performed first in the PMS and then synced to the NSE system.

      ⚠️ Note: Transfers and auctions are managed differently and are not affected by this process.

      Steps to Vacate a Tenant

      1. Move Out the Tenant in Your PMS:

        • Use your PMS to process the move-out.

      2. Sync Changes with the NSE System:

        • If you are a GDS, Space Manager, Easy Storage Solutions:
          • The tenant will automatically lose unit access as soon as the move-out is processed in your PMS.
        • If you are a storEDGE, Sitelink, or Omni user:
          • Log in to your organization's web portal.
          • Click Update Customer Data to ensure the changes are reflected in the NSE system.

      Following these steps ensures accurate tenant data and secure access management for your facility.
